What you'll do

In this role, you will lead an engineering group responsible for developing and maintaining credit, fraud, and compliance risk systems at Brex. You will oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from strategic planning to deployment, ensuring that your team adheres to best practices in software engineering. You will collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliver impactful solutions.

You will be responsible for managing team performance, conducting regular one-on-ones, and providing constructive feedback to help your team members grow in their careers. You will also play a key role in hiring and onboarding new engineers, ensuring that your team is equipped with the right skills and expertise to tackle complex challenges.

As a technical leader, you will guide architectural decisions and promote the use of modern technologies and methodologies. You will encourage a culture of experimentation and learning, where team members feel empowered to propose new ideas and solutions. You will also be involved in setting engineering standards and processes that enhance productivity and quality across the organization.
