You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in backend development, where you've designed and implemented scalable systems that handle large volumes of data. Your expertise in Java and Python allows you to build robust applications that integrate seamlessly with AI technologies. You understand the intricacies of high-throughput data pipelines and have experience with orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker, ensuring that your systems are efficient and reliable.

You are familiar with machine learning concepts and have worked on projects that involve data processing and analysis. Your ability to create REST APIs means you can connect various components of a system, enabling smooth communication between services. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with UX researchers and product leaders to turn complex data into actionable insights.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the backend systems that power Sprig's AI capabilities. You will design high-throughput data pipelines that can process hundreds of millions of events daily, ensuring that data flows smoothly through the system. Your work will involve orchestrating AI inference processes, allowing for real-time analysis and insights that product teams can act upon.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX researchers and product managers, to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements. This will involve designing and implementing REST APIs that facilitate communication between different parts of the application. You will also be tasked with optimizing existing systems for performance and scalability, ensuring that Sprig's platform can handle increasing amounts of data as the company grows.

As part of the AI engineering group, you will contribute to the development of new features and capabilities that enhance the user experience. You will stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, applying this knowledge to improve the platform's functionality. Your contributions will directly impact how product teams understand customer behavior and feedback, making your role crucial to Sprig's mission.
