SpaceX is hiring a Software Engineer for the Starlink team to develop automation and software solutions for testing satellite components. You'll work with Python to ensure maximum performance and reliability in extreme environments.
You have a strong background in software engineering, particularly in developing automation and testing solutions. Your experience includes designing modular and reusable software systems, ideally in Python or similar languages. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to learn and adapt to new challenges, especially in the aerospace sector. You understand the importance of reliability and performance in mission-critical systems and are motivated by the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking technology.
Experience with hardware testing and automation is a plus, but not required. Familiarity with aerospace systems or satellite technology can enhance your contributions, though your curiosity and willingness to learn are what truly matter. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple tasks effectively.
As a Software Engineer on the Starlink team, you will design and develop software systems that test flight components and entire satellites. Your primary focus will be on creating automation solutions that ensure the reliability and performance of Starlink hardware in extreme conditions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand the requirements and challenges of testing satellite systems. Your role will involve writing and maintaining code that supports the testing infrastructure, enabling rapid development and accurate verification of hardware systems.
You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and optimizing existing software solutions, ensuring they meet the high standards required for aerospace applications. Your contributions will directly impact the success of SpaceX's mission to enable human life on Mars, making your work both challenging and rewarding.
At SpaceX, you will be part of a team that is pushing the boundaries of technology and innovation. We offer a dynamic work environment where your contributions are valued and recognized. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that have a significant impact on the future of space exploration. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds. Join us in our mission to make life multi-planetary.
