Amazon is hiring a Quality Assurance Tech I to drive manual and automated testing for Prime Video Playback services. You'll work with a broad technology stack and collaborate with QA Engineers and SDEs. This position requires experience in testing methodologies and familiarity with AWS.
You have experience in quality assurance and are eager to contribute to the Prime Video playback experience. You understand both manual and automated testing processes and are comfortable working with a variety of technologies. Your collaborative spirit allows you to work effectively with QA Engineers, Software Development Engineers (SDEs), and Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs) to understand features and technical implementations. You are detail-oriented and have a strong commitment to quality-centric methodologies, ensuring that customer-facing features meet high standards.
You are familiar with developing test plans and suites that simulate real-world environments and regression tests. Your ability to analyze customer usage models helps you create effective testing strategies. You are empowered to choose the right technologies to solve complex problems in software quality assurance, and you embrace innovation in your work.
Experience with AWS and familiarity with programming languages such as Java and Python are advantageous. Knowledge of testing frameworks like Selenium will enhance your ability to contribute to the team. You are open to learning new technologies and methodologies to improve the quality assurance process.
In this role, you will be responsible for executing both manual and automated tests against customer-facing features within Prime Video Playback services. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management and UX designers, to understand customer needs and develop comprehensive test plans. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of the Prime Video playback experience, particularly for live sports, movies, and TV shows.
You will engage in both manual testing and the development of automated testing scripts, ensuring that all features are rigorously tested before release. Your role will involve identifying and documenting defects, working with developers to resolve issues, and verifying fixes. You will also participate in continuous improvement initiatives, providing feedback on testing processes and suggesting enhancements.
Your work will help drive the software development process toward quality-centric methodologies, ensuring that the Prime Video platform remains a leading entertainment destination.
