Overview

Google is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer for Capacity and Demand Planning to provide technical leadership on high-impact projects. You'll work on building systems for capacity planning and supply chain, requiring 8+ years of software development experience.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 8 years of experience in software development. Your background includes at least 5 years of experience with design and architecture, as well as testing and launching software products. You possess a Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, which enhances your technical expertise. In addition, you have 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role, where you've led project teams and set technical direction. You are familiar with working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects. Your experience includes building systems for capacity planning or supply chain, and you have a solid understanding of AI/ML frameworks. You are versatile and enthusiastic about tackling new problems across the full-stack as technology continues to evolve.

Desirable

Experience with large-scale system design, networking, data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design, and mobile technologies is a plus. You thrive in environments that require collaboration and leadership, and you are eager to contribute fresh ideas from various areas of expertise.

In this role, you will provide technical leadership on high-impact projects, managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large-scale software solutions that are critical to Google’s needs. Your work will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that the software products meet the high standards expected at Google.
