Overview

SpaceX is hiring an Avionics Systems Engineer for the Crew Starship project to develop avionics systems for lunar missions. You'll work with Embedded Linux and electrical engineering principles to support astronaut safety and mission success.

Who you are

You have a strong background in avionics systems engineering, with experience in design, integration, and testing of complex systems. Your expertise in electrical engineering principles allows you to contribute effectively to the development of avionics for crewed space missions. You are familiar with embedded systems and have a passion for aerospace technology, particularly in the context of human spaceflight. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to work alongside motivated engineers to achieve ambitious goals. Your problem-solving skills enable you to tackle challenges in a fast-paced development setting, ensuring that systems are reliable and safe for astronauts. You understand the importance of rigorous testing and validation processes in the aerospace industry and are committed to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Desirable

Experience with NASA or similar aerospace projects is a plus, as is familiarity with the Artemis program. Knowledge of communication systems, power management, and life support systems will enhance your contributions to the Crew Starship Avionics team. A proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies will help you excel in this role.

What you'll do

As an Avionics Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and integration of avionics systems for the Crew Starship.
