The successful candidate will report into a Sr. Finance Manager. This will include working with central accounting, finance operation and Global financial teams to ensure we have a controlled accounting process to do month end accounting and reporting activities in a manner fitting with our "Customer Obsession", “Deliver Results” and “Insist on Highest Standard” philosophy.
The Accounting Manager responsibilities include month end activities and ensure proper review of account balances for Amazon, preparation and review of monthly/quarterly/annually reconciliations and balance sheet analysis. This position will support the management in all aspects of financial accounting, month end close, account reconciliations, stakeholder management, process improvements and accounts variance analysis. This position will also play an important role in promoting systems/process development within department to ensure ongoing efficiency and control improvements.

Key job responsibilities
Use data and make recommendations to influence strategic decision-making and planning. Independently align financial and operational analyses with your business partners, challenging business partner assumptions when necessary
Manage all reporting and analytics deliverables within agreed SLA's established with the stakeholders and Central Accounting.
Use solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models and analyses with little guidance and draw conclusions and make recommendations that deliver results, drive improvements, and may have global impact
Controllership will be your top priority. You identify and solve complex data integrity issues and collaborate with stakeholders on resolution
Demonstrate appropriate understanding / working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls
Partner with Service Center teams to document month-end close issues; make recommendations for improved controls, as necessary.
Create reporting capabilities and communicate the operational results through monthly reviews with the customers.
Perform processes' dive deeps to identify improvement opportunities and underlying issues causing defects in the regular operation.- 8+ years of Accounting, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Proficiency in Excel (pivots, lookups, etc.) experience
- 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 5+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 5+ years of directly managing and leading a team of 5+ members experience- MBA, or CPA
- 5+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Experience demonstrating problem solving and root cause analysis
