Intercom is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to enhance AI tooling for customer service. You'll work with Python, SQL, and machine learning to drive insights and improve customer experiences. This role requires 5+ years of experience in data science.
You have 5+ years of experience in data science, with a strong background in Python and SQL — you've developed and deployed machine learning models that drive business insights and improve customer experiences. Your expertise in data analysis allows you to uncover trends and patterns that inform strategic decisions. You are skilled in data visualization, enabling you to present complex data in an understandable way to stakeholders. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to define problems and develop solutions. You are passionate about leveraging AI to enhance customer service and are eager to contribute to innovative projects. You understand the importance of measuring impact and continuously iterating on your work to achieve the best results.
Experience with large language models (LLMs) and AI tooling is a plus, as is familiarity with customer service platforms. A background in working with go-to-market (GTM) teams will help you align your insights with business objectives. You are comfortable with ambiguity and can adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
As a Senior Data Scientist at Intercom, you will be responsible for turning insights into action by developing AI-powered tools that enhance customer service. You will collaborate with the Research, Analytics & Data Science (RAD) team to uncover customer, product, and business insights, translating them into actionable decision systems. Your work will involve designing and implementing machine learning models that automate processes such as account research, interaction summarization, and personalized outreach. You will partner closely with GTM Systems to define problems, develop solutions, and measure the impact of your work from prototype to production. You will also mentor junior data scientists, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles.
