Benchling is seeking a Senior Counsel, Commercial & Employment to provide legal guidance on commercial transactions and employment law across EMEA. You'll work closely with sales and operations teams to support revenue growth. This role requires significant legal experience in a commercial context.
You are an experienced attorney with a strong background in commercial law and employment law, particularly within the EMEA region. You have a collaborative mindset and are motivated by the mission of advancing biotechnology through legal support. You possess excellent negotiation skills and can manage the full lifecycle of commercial contracts effectively. You are familiar with SaaS agreements and have experience advising on compliance across multiple jurisdictions. Your pragmatic approach allows you to provide strategic legal advice that aligns with business objectives. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable working closely with sales and revenue operations teams to accelerate deals.
In this role, you will own and manage the full lifecycle of commercial contracts for Benchling's EMEA operations. This includes structuring, drafting, and negotiating various agreements such as SaaS agreements, professional services contracts, and data processing agreements. You will collaborate with the EMEA sales and revenue operations teams to provide legal guidance that supports revenue growth and compliance. You will also advise on privacy matters and regional employment law, ensuring that Benchling operates within legal frameworks across different jurisdictions. Your role will involve reviewing and revising contracts to mitigate risks and protect the company's interests. You will be a trusted advisor to the EMEA teams, helping them navigate complex legal landscapes while fostering a culture of compliance and ethical business practices.
