Account Executive, Existing Business - Funded Startups (German Speaking)

Who you are

You have a strong background in sales, ideally with 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing role at a high-growth technology company. Your fluency in German allows you to communicate effectively with clients in the region, and you possess superior verbal and written communication skills that help you build relationships and drive results. You understand the startup ecosystem, either as a founder or operator, and have a keen interest in business models and monetization strategies. Your ability to thrive in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment sets you apart, as you are comfortable navigating challenges and finding solutions.

Desirable

Experience in the payments industry is a plus, as it gives you a deeper understanding of the financial infrastructure that Stripe provides. You are familiar with the dynamics of working with venture capital-backed startups and have a passion for helping them scale their businesses. Your previous roles have equipped you with the skills to identify new opportunities and create value for clients.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for creating partnerships between Stripe and the most innovative and fastest-growing founders of funded startups in your region. You will help them understand how Stripe’s financial infrastructure and solutions can support their growth ambitions and create a competitive advantage for their businesses. Your day-to-day activities will include identifying new opportunities for clients to maximize their use of Stripe’s growing product suite. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure that clients receive the best possible service and support.

You will also engage in strategic discussions with clients to understand their unique needs and challenges, providing tailored solutions that align with their business goals. Your ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner will be essential as you present Stripe’s offerings and demonstrate their value. You will track your progress against targets and report on your achievements, ensuring that you contribute to the overall success of the Funded Startups team.
