Google is seeking a Senior Product Security Engineer to enhance the security of its systems and protect sensitive data. You'll leverage your expertise in security assessments, threat modeling, and coding to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities. This role requires 5+ years of experience in security engineering.
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 5 years of experience in security assessments, security design reviews, or threat modeling. Your background includes 5 years of experience in security engineering, computer and network security, and security protocols. You possess 5 years of coding experience in one or more general-purpose languages, which allows you to effectively communicate with software engineers and proactively identify security flaws. You have experience in a technical capacity or leading technical risk analysis in an enterprise environment, and you are skilled at consulting on security protocols. Your ability to influence others and excellent communication skills make you a valuable team member.
As a Senior Product Security Engineer at Google, you will work to create and maintain the safest operating environment for users and developers. Your role involves protecting network boundaries and keeping computer systems and network devices hardened against attacks. You will provide security services to protect highly sensitive data, such as passwords and customer information. You will work directly with network equipment and actively monitor systems for attacks and intrusions. Collaborating with software engineers, you will identify and fix security flaws and vulnerabilities, using your industry experience to drive the resolution of complex security incidents and technical security issues. You will review designs for vulnerabilities through one-time reviews and long-term engagements, employing techniques such as reverse engineering, fuzzing, and static analysis. Your focus will be on the security strategy for Google Cloud, surfacing vulnerability patterns and designing them out to enhance overall security.
