Amazon is hiring an Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical technology infrastructure in Canton, Mississippi. You'll work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure high uptime for AWS data centers.
You are an entry-level Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems. You have hands-on experience troubleshooting equipment and are eager to learn about maintaining mission-critical technology infrastructure. You possess knowledge of three-phase electrical systems, including switch gear, UPSs, and PDUs. Your familiarity with diesel generators and cooling systems, such as centrifugal chillers and air handlers, will be invaluable in this role. You are detail-oriented and have a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and effectively.
Experience with AWS infrastructure or data center operations is a plus. Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices in electrical and mechanical maintenance will help you excel in this position. You are open to learning new technologies and methodologies that enhance operational efficiency.
As an Engineering Technician at Amazon, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the heartbeat of our data centers. You will be responsible for operating and troubleshooting various systems, including electrical and mechanical equipment. You will also participate in routine maintenance and inspections, documenting your findings and recommending improvements. Your contributions will help us tackle the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain. You will be a critical guardian of our technological infrastructure, ensuring that our data centers operate smoothly and efficiently.
