Workato is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to develop data solutions and manage data-intensive infrastructure. You'll work with Java and Ruby on Rails in Nicosia, Cyprus. This role requires strong communication skills and experience in distributed teams.
You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience, particularly in building production systems that handle complex data workflows. Your expertise in Java is complemented by a solid understanding of Ruby and Ruby on Rails, allowing you to design and implement high-performance applications that meet business needs. You thrive in collaborative environments and have experience working with distributed international teams, which enhances your ability to communicate effectively across different cultures and time zones. Your advanced English proficiency enables you to articulate technical concepts clearly and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
You stand out if you have experience designing usage and billing systems, as well as familiarity with data quality frameworks.
