You have a background in electrical engineering or software engineering with a solid understanding of electronics fundamentals — your experience includes designing circuits, sensors, and electromechanical systems. Desirable

Experience with additional programming languages or tools related to embedded systems is a plus — familiarity with hardware design tools like Altium Designer or KiCAD would be beneficial. A background in 3D printing technology or related fields can enhance your fit for this role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design and develop embedded systems and firmware that power Formlabs' innovative 3D printing solutions. You will be responsible for researching and specifying new features, prototyping new designs, and validating your work through rigorous testing. You will debug the hardware your code runs on, ensuring that all components work seamlessly together. As you grow in this position, you may have the opportunity to expand your responsibilities to include hardware design, allowing you to take ownership of both the software and hardware aspects of your projects.

You will collaborate closely with other engineers and teams to ensure that your designs meet the needs of our customers and align with our product vision. You will participate in regular team meetings to discuss project progress, share insights, and brainstorm solutions to challenges. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our 3D printing technology, helping to drive innovation across various industries.

What we offer

At Formlabs, we offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 to $115,000 USD, along with equity in the form of RSUs.
