Overview

Google is seeking a Leadership Support Services Officer to ensure the safety and security of executives. You'll leverage your extensive experience in security and law enforcement to create innovative protection strategies. This role requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience and LEOSA certification.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree and have completed an Executive Protection course or possess equivalent experience. With a minimum of 10 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience globally, you are also Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA) qualified. You maintain a valid U.S. driver’s license and can pass pre-employment and unscheduled drug testing during employment. Your ability to work non-standard hours, including weekends, night shifts, and holidays, demonstrates your commitment to the role. You are prepared to travel up to 35% of the time, both domestically and internationally, as needed.

You have at least 2 years of experience working on an executive protection or dignitary protection team, showcasing your expertise in creating, planning, and reviewing event security operations documents. Your experience includes analyzing intelligence and threat reports to assess risks effectively, allowing you to scope resources appropriately. You are adept at creating and navigating primary and secondary travel routes, both with and without technology, ensuring the safety of clients at all times.

Your understanding of security is deeply integrated into your professional ethos, aligning with Google's commitment to confidentiality and safety. You collaborate effectively with the Facilities Management team to develop innovative security strategies, investigate breaches, and create comprehensive risk assessment plans for the future. You believe that effective security measures should not compromise customer experience, and you strive to balance both aspects in your work.

What you'll do

In this role, you will predict, prevent, or avoid tense or dangerous situations, reacting swiftly as situations emerge. You will screen client itineraries and conduct thorough research and intelligence gathering to identify risk factors, forming operational plans for client protection. Your responsibilities will include facilitating discussions with stakeholders to ensure documentation is up to date and proposing or implementing changes for continuous improvement in security protocols.

You will work closely with various teams to ensure that security measures are integrated into the design and development processes at Google. Your role will require you to stay updated on the latest security trends and technologies, allowing you to adapt strategies as necessary. You will also be responsible for training and mentoring junior team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise to enhance the overall effectiveness of the security team.

What we offer

At Google, you will be part of a culture that prioritizes security and innovation. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your contributions directly impact the safety of executives and the integrity of operations. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds. Join us in our mission to create a secure and confidential environment for our clients and employees.
