Overview

Apple is seeking a Module System Engineer to lead battery and camera module test strategy and execution. You'll design sophisticated test equipment and measurement systems, requiring expertise in test instrument architecture. This role demands a strong background in embedded systems and programming languages like C, C++, and Python.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in systems engineering, particularly in the context of hardware modules. With experience in designing and developing test instruments, you understand the intricacies of battery and camera module validation and characterization. Your expertise in embedded systems, particularly with Embedded Linux, allows you to bridge the gap between design requirements and practical implementation in high-volume manufacturing environments.

You possess proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and Python, which you have utilized to develop sophisticated test equipment and measurement systems. Your analytical skills enable you to conduct systematic root cause analysis using data acquired from purpose-built test instruments, ensuring that modules meet Apple's high standards for performance, safety, and reliability.

You thrive in multidisciplinary teams and have experience collaborating with global design, reliability, and manufacturing groups. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly makes you an effective leader in driving test methodologies and validation strategies. You are passionate about innovation and are eager to contribute to the development of cutting-edge technology that transforms how people live and communicate.

Desirable

Experience in high-volume consumer hardware testing is a plus, as is familiarity with the latest advancements in battery and camera technologies. You are open to learning new methodologies and tools that can enhance your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the development of test strategies for battery and camera modules, ensuring that all products meet Apple's rigorous standards. You will define and drive test methodologies that are critical for high-volume consumer hardware, focusing on performance, safety, and reliability.

You will design and develop sophisticated test equipment and measurement systems, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all modules are validated effectively. Your role will involve conducting systematic root cause analysis, utilizing data from specialized test instruments to identify and resolve issues.

As a Module System Engineer, you will serve as a technical bridge between module design requirements and scalable production test solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring that the test strategies you implement are not only effective but also efficient, allowing for seamless integration into the manufacturing process.

You will work closely with global teams, providing guidance and support to ensure that all testing processes align with Apple's standards. Your contributions will directly impact the quality and reliability of Apple's next-generation devices, making your role essential to the company's success.

What we offer

At Apple, you will be part of a culture that values innovation and collaboration. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology that transforms lives, alongside a diverse team of talented individuals. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement — your unique perspective could be the key to our next breakthrough.

We offer competitive compensation and benefits, along with opportunities for professional growth and development. Join us in Cupertino and be part of a team that is dedicated to making a difference in the world through technology.
