Who you are

You have extensive experience in human resources, particularly in leading transformation initiatives that align with organizational culture and values. Your background includes developing and implementing HR systems that enhance employee experience and engagement. You are skilled in collaborating with senior leadership and cross-departmental teams to drive strategic HR projects. You understand the importance of creating a remote work environment that fosters inclusivity and belonging. Your leadership style emphasizes innovation, collaboration, and a commitment to advancing the mission of the organization. You are adept at managing teams and guiding them through change, ensuring that all HR initiatives are executed seamlessly and effectively.

Desirable

Experience in the nonprofit sector or technology fields is a plus, as is familiarity with data analytics and reporting in HR contexts. You may also have a background in vendor management and compensation systems, which will be beneficial in this role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the People Department's systems updates and innovations, focusing on key areas such as compensation, performance management, and HR information systems. You will work closely with the Chief People Officer and other senior leaders to develop strategies that enhance the Foundation's ways of working. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the implementation of new HR systems and ensuring a smooth transition into their respective sub-departments. You will represent the People Department in various cross-department projects, contributing your expertise to initiatives that impact the entire organization. Your leadership will be crucial in driving culturally-aligned HR investments that position Wikimedia as an employer of choice.
