Amazon is hiring an Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical technology infrastructure in Avondale, Arizona. You'll work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure high uptime for AWS data centers.
You are an Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems, ready to take on the challenge of maintaining mission-critical technology infrastructure. You have hands-on experience troubleshooting complex systems and are familiar with the operation of diesel generators, UPSs, and three-phase electrical systems. Your attention to detail ensures that you can maintain an extraordinary uptime of 99.999%, contributing to the seamless operation of global digital experiences.

As an Engineering Technician at Amazon, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the heartbeat of our data centers. Your responsibilities will include operating and troubleshooting various electrical and mechanical systems, including stand-by diesel generators, switch gear, UPSs, PDUs, and cooling systems. You will be the front line in ensuring that our mission-critical facilities operate smoothly and efficiently, directly contributing to the uptime and reliability of AWS services.
You will work closely with other technicians and engineers to identify and resolve issues that may arise in the data center environment. Your hands-on approach will allow you to quickly diagnose problems and implement effective solutions, ensuring that our infrastructure remains robust and reliable. You will also participate in routine maintenance and inspections, helping to prevent potential issues before they impact operations.
