Job Description

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building high-performance systems that handle complex trading operations. Your expertise in Java is complemented by a solid understanding of low-latency systems and high-frequency trading environments. You are passionate about the potential of crypto trading and have a keen interest in developing fully-automated trading bots. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.

You possess strong analytical skills and are adept at problem-solving, especially in high-pressure situations where quick decision-making is crucial. Your experience includes working with both centralized and decentralized finance (CeFi and DeFi) platforms, giving you a comprehensive view of the crypto landscape. You are familiar with the challenges of liquidity management and have a track record of implementing effective strategies to enhance trading performance.

You are a proactive communicator who can articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your ability to mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning within your team is a key asset. You are committed to maintaining high standards of code quality and performance, ensuring that the systems you build are robust and scalable.

Desirable

Experience with automated trading systems or algorithmic trading strategies is a plus. Familiarity with microservices architecture and cloud technologies will enhance your candidacy. A background in financial markets or trading systems will be beneficial, as will any experience with blockchain technology.

What you'll do

As a Senior/Staff Engineer on the Liquidity Platform team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-performance trading systems that facilitate seamless connectivity to global crypto venues. You will work on developing low-latency solutions that enhance trading efficiency and improve liquidity management. Your role will involve collaborating with product managers and other engineers to define system requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

You will lead the development of automated trading strategies, leveraging your expertise in Java to build scalable and efficient algorithms. Your work will include optimizing existing systems for performance and reliability, as well as conducting thorough testing to ensure the robustness of the solutions you deliver. You will also be involved in monitoring system performance and troubleshooting any issues that arise in production environments.

In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will play a key role in mentoring junior engineers, providing guidance and support as they develop their skills. You will contribute to the overall engineering culture at OKX, promoting best practices in software development and fostering a collaborative team environment. Your insights and expertise will help shape the future of our liquidity platform and drive innovation within the organization.

What we offer

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, along with opportunities for professional growth and development. Our culture is built on the principles of collaboration, integrity, and excellence, and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment where every team member can thrive. Join us in reshaping the future of finance through innovative technology and a commitment to user empowerment.
