The Amazon Selling Partner Promotions (SPP) team manages promotional experiences for businesses selling on Amazon's global marketplaces. The platform enables various types of promotions that help sellers engage with customers during shopping events and regular retail operations.
The promotion ecosystem generates several billion dollars in annual revenue while delivering savings to customers through integration with Amazon's retail systems. The platform processes millions of promotions daily, connecting with core business systems including inventory management, pricing, and checkout services.
Key job responsibilities
• Leading features and projects end-to-end independently
• Collaborating with Product Managers, other Software Engineers, and users
• Managing the complete software delivery lifecycle, from requirements to production
• Mentoring junior developers
• Reviewing code and design documents
• Understanding complex pricing and promotion systems
• Integrating solutions with Amazon's broader ecosystem
• Creating scalable and extensible solutions- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
