Handshake is seeking Mechanical Engineering Technologists and Technicians to contribute to an AI research project. You'll leverage your professional experience to evaluate AI models and provide feedback. No AI experience is required, and the role is fully remote.
You have at least 4 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering or related fields. You are comfortable interpreting engineering sketches and specifications, and you have experience assembling or disassembling complex mechanical systems. Your technical support skills in mechanical design and testing will be valuable in this role. You are eager to learn new skills and contribute to the development of AI models in your field. You are adaptable and can work independently in a remote setting, managing your own schedule with flexibility.
In this role, you will evaluate AI models based on your professional experience in mechanical engineering. You will assess the content produced by AI models and provide structured feedback to improve their understanding of workplace tasks and language. Your work will involve developing prompts that accurately reflect your field, and you will evaluate the responses generated by the AI. You will have the opportunity to participate in various projects throughout the year, depending on availability. Your contributions will help shape how AI is utilized in mechanical engineering and related areas.
