Overview

Who you are

You have a strong background in embedded software development, with experience in programming languages such as Python, Perl, and Tcl. You understand the intricacies of low-level programming and have a passion for developing high-quality software solutions that impact millions of users. Your expertise in Embedded Linux allows you to navigate complex systems and contribute effectively to the development of state-of-the-art SOCs. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to work with dynamic teams to push the boundaries of technology.

Desirable

Experience with Common Firmware Environment (CFE) and real-time operating systems (RTOS) is a plus. You are familiar with power management techniques and have a keen interest in optimizing system performance. Your problem-solving skills enable you to debug and bring up new hardware efficiently, ensuring that products meet Apple's high standards.

What you'll do

In this role, you will develop boot and driver code for Apple SOCs, focusing on AP clusters, IO Co-Processor systems, and various I/O devices. You will design, implement, and enhance the Common Firmware Environment and other platform software for the silicon validation organization. Your contributions will include developing system software to exercise power-saving features, such as suspend and resume, ensuring that Apple products deliver exceptional performance and efficiency.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers and software developers, to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components. Your work will involve rigorous testing and validation processes to guarantee that the embedded software meets Apple's quality standards. You will also participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices within the team.
