Geotab is seeking a Senior Embedded Developer to advance security and connectivity in commercial vehicles. You'll work with Embedded Linux, C, and C++ to enhance fleet management solutions. This role requires significant experience in embedded systems development.
You have 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development, demonstrating a strong understanding of hardware-software integration and real-time operating systems. Your expertise in C and C++ allows you to write efficient and reliable code for embedded applications. You are familiar with Embedded Linux and have experience working with various microcontrollers and development boards. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer needs. You are detail-oriented and possess strong problem-solving skills, enabling you to troubleshoot and optimize embedded systems effectively. You are passionate about technology and eager to contribute to projects that enhance safety and sustainability in transportation.
In this role, you will design and develop embedded software for Geotab's connected vehicle solutions, ensuring high performance and reliability. You will collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software with various sensors and communication modules, contributing to the overall functionality of the fleet management system. You will participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, ensuring adherence to best practices in embedded software development. You will also be responsible for testing and validating your code, using both automated and manual testing methods to ensure quality and performance standards are met. Additionally, you will stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to enhance Geotab's product offerings.
