Overview

Datadog is hiring a Mid-Market Account Executive to drive business growth by acquiring new customers in mid-to-large organizations. You'll leverage tools like Sales Navigator and collaborate with internal teams to close deals. This role requires experience in sales and a passion for technology.

Job Description

Who you are

You have experience in hunting and closing net new logos — you've successfully navigated complex sales cycles and understand the nuances of engaging with various stakeholders within an organization. Your ability to strategically prospect into Chief Technology Officers, Engineering/IT Leaders, and technical end users (SRE, DevOps, DevSecOps) sets you apart in the sales landscape.

You thrive in a collaborative environment — working closely with Sales Development Representatives to drive top-of-funnel activity is second nature to you. You understand the importance of teamwork in achieving sales goals and are eager to contribute to the overall success of the Datadog team.

Your familiarity with tools such as Sales Navigator and DiscoverOrg enhances your ability to identify and engage potential customers effectively. You are comfortable managing the full sales cycle, from initial outreach to negotiations and on-site technical demonstrations, ensuring a seamless experience for clients.

You value a workplace culture that fosters relationships and creativity — at Datadog, you will find an environment that encourages collaboration and innovation, allowing you to grow your career in sales while contributing to the company's success.

Desirable

While you may not meet every qualification on day one, your passion for technology and eagerness to learn will help you excel in this role. If you have experience in a hybrid workplace, that will be an added advantage as you adapt to Datadog's work-life harmony approach.

What you'll do

As a Mid-Market Account Executive, your primary focus will be on net-new logo acquisition — you will convert inbound leads into closed opportunities, leveraging your sales expertise to drive growth for Datadog. You will strategically prospect into various departments of complex organizations, ensuring that you understand their unique needs and can convey the value of Datadog's products effectively.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify customer requirements and tailor your approach accordingly. Your role will involve managing the full sales cycle, including negotiations and conducting on-site technical demonstrations to showcase the capabilities of Datadog's offerings.

You will have the opportunity to grow your career within the sales team, taking on new challenges and responsibilities as you contribute to Datadog's overall business growth. Your success will be measured by your ability to close deals and expand the customer base, making a significant impact on the company's success.

What we offer

Datadog values its employees and fosters a culture of collaboration and creativity. You will be part of a hybrid workplace that allows you to create a work-life harmony that best fits your needs. The company encourages personal and professional growth, providing opportunities for career advancement within the sales team.

You will work in an environment that values diversity and inclusion, where your unique background and experiences will be appreciated. Datadog believes that a diverse team leads to better products and solutions, and they encourage applicants from all walks of life to apply.

In addition to a supportive workplace culture, you will have access to the tools and resources necessary to succeed in your role. Datadog is committed to helping you grow your skills and advance your career in sales, making this an exciting opportunity for those looking to make a significant impact in the tech industry.
