Overview

Google is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead complex software integration projects in Cloud Networking. You'll leverage your program management experience and technical expertise to drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires 5+ years of experience in program management and familiarity with data analytics.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with 5 years of experience in program management. Your background includes experience with process and continuous improvement, as well as data analytics, reporting, and scripting using SQL or similar technologies. You have a proven track record of managing software integration programs related to network device development or deployment, and you are comfortable collaborating with internal stakeholders across different functions and geographies to manage change and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

You thrive in cross-functional environments, having managed cross-team projects effectively. Your experience in vendor management within the telecommunications or network industry adds to your qualifications. You possess strong communication skills, allowing you to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You understand that a problem isn’t truly solved until it’s resolved for all, and you are committed to building products that create opportunities for everyone.

Desirable

Experience with network planning and engineering is a plus, as is a deep understanding of the telecommunications landscape. You are adept at identifying and assessing continuous improvement opportunities through qualitative feedback from subject matter experts (SMEs) and process data, driving informed decision-making.

What you'll do

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You will work closely with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your role will involve explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives while also discussing technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

You will collaborate with team members to build the technological knowledge necessary to assess metrics and plan how and where new tooling should be applied in existing workflows. Your responsibilities will include communicating health, status, and actions to stakeholders, including management and partner organizations. You will identify and assess continuous improvement opportunities, leveraging qualitative feedback and process data to drive informed decision-making.

What we offer

At Google, you will be part of a team that values innovation and collaboration. You will have the opportunity to work on projects that have a significant impact on the company's direction and success. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we believe diverse teams build better products. Join us in creating opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe.
