Overview

Google is seeking a News Partner Manager to manage relationships with news organizations across Southeast Asia and South Asia. You'll work closely with various internal teams to educate publishers about Google’s products and negotiate commercial agreements.

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or management consulting. Your background includes working with C-level executives and collaborating cross-functionally across all levels of management. You possess excellent problem-solving and analysis skills, combined with strong business judgment. Your communication and presentation skills are top-notch, allowing you to clarify and communicate complex issues to executive-level audiences effectively.

Desirable

Experience in the media and news industry is preferred, as is a background in stakeholder management that enables you to build close working relationships with key leaders both internally and externally. You have a proven track record of negotiating commercial agreements and navigating ambiguity while solving complex problems. Your ability to scale effectively across a distributed organization is a key asset.

What you'll do

As a News Partner Manager, you will manage relationships with news organizations across Southeast Asia and South Asia Frontier, including Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. Your role involves finding innovative ways for these organizations to reach new audiences and build new business streams through Google’s products. You will serve as a trusted advisor to both national organizations and independent publishers, educating them about Google’s products and resources.

Collaboration is a significant part of your role, as you will work closely with various internal teams at Google, including YouTube, Play, Public Policy, Communications, Marketing, and Product. You will gather market insights and build product expertise to inform team strategy. Additionally, you will manage all aspects of commercial contracting, from identifying opportunities within your partnership portfolio to initial negotiations, communication, contracting, and providing ongoing operational support.
