Esri is hiring a Landscape Technician to maintain and develop their urban forest across multiple properties. This role requires extensive knowledge of plants and landscaping, along with experience in irrigation and landscape maintenance.
You have 4 years of experience in the landscape industry, with a strong desire to nurture an urban arboretum regarding maintenance and plant health. Your horticulture knowledge allows you to effectively care for various plants and landscapes, ensuring their health and vitality. You are skilled in using hand tools such as shovels and pruners, as well as power tools like blowers and chain saws, which are essential for maintaining landscapes. You possess effective written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to report landscape issues and needs clearly. You are capable of working independently, identifying project requirements, and developing timelines to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
Experience with irrigation systems is a plus, as you will be responsible for maintaining, assessing, and repairing these systems. Your ability to perform weed mitigation and interior plant care will contribute to the overall health of the landscapes you manage. You are physically capable of extensive walking, climbing stairs and ladders, and lifting/carrying a minimum of 50 pounds, applying proper body mechanics to prevent injury.
As a Landscape Technician at Esri, you will maintain the landscapes of various properties by blowing leaves and debris, trimming trees, shrubs, and groundcovers. You will perform work safely, on time, and according to established procedures, regulations, and guidelines. Your responsibilities will include pruning and shaping trees and shrubs naturally, planting shrubs and groundcovers, and assessing and reporting landscape issues and needs. You will manage and coordinate landscape projects from start to finish, taking a proactive approach to ensure successful outcomes. Your role will require you to work independently, identifying project requirements and allocating resources effectively.
