Amazon is hiring a Software Development Engineer for the Alexa Sensitive Content Intelligence team to leverage machine learning and natural language understanding. You'll work on identifying bad content and enhancing user interactions with Alexa. This role requires expertise in machine learning and strong software design principles.
You have a solid understanding of software design principles and a demonstrated track record of delivering new features. Your expertise in machine learning lifecycle management, model training, validation, and debugging is essential. You adapt quickly to new technologies and thrive in a collaborative environment, valuing data-driven decision-making and effective communication with both technical and non-technical roles.
You possess strong written and verbal communication skills, a strong sense of ownership, and the ability to mentor junior engineers. Your passion for innovating on behalf of customers drives you to keep up with the latest in machine learning system design, frameworks, and best practices. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and enjoy collaborating with product and science teams to enhance features end-to-end.

In this role, you will own feature enhancements from design through to production, collaborating closely with product and science teams. You will participate in design and code reviews, contributing to the team's deliverables while maintaining existing services. You will also mentor junior engineers, helping them develop their skills and understanding of machine learning principles. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of interactions customers have with Amazon Devices, ensuring they continue to enjoy engaging conversations with Alexa.
