What you'll do

As the Manager of Enterprise Application Engineering, you will lead a team of engineers in developing and maintaining OppFi's technology platform. You will work closely with the Sr Director of Platform and Operations to align engineering efforts with business goals. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the engineering team's projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software, and facilitating communication between team members and other departments. You will be responsible for setting clear objectives for your team and providing the necessary support to help them achieve those goals. You will also play a key role in recruiting and onboarding new team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team.

You will collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to understand user needs and translate them into technical requirements. You will ensure that the engineering team adheres to best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation. You will monitor team performance and provide feedback to help team members improve their skills and advance their careers. Additionally, you will advocate for the team's needs and work to secure the resources necessary for their success.
