Director, Technical Program Management, Chrome and Web Ecosystem

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 15 years of experience in technical program management or a related role within a software development environment.
• 10 years of experience in people management, including experience managing managers.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience managing complex cross-functional relationships across distinct business units or product areas.
• Experience driving improvements in execution, velocity, and quality.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale organizations and cultivating a culture of high performance, strategic impact, and professional growth.
• Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift to capture emerging technical and strategic opportunities.
• Technical fluency in AI/LLM development cycles and experience managing programs in high-ambiguity AI environments.

The Technical Program Management (T/PgM) organization is a critical partner in this mission, and we are looking for a transformational leader to guide this team and shape the future of how we build and ship products.

As the Director of Technical Program Management for Chrome and Web Ecosystem, you will have a direct influence on how we navigate the AI platform shift. You will lead a large, globally distributed organization of program managers, continuing to evolve the function's strategic impact and ensuring the team operates as a critical partner that empowers the Chrome organization to ship with greater focus, velocity, and quality.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $272,000-$383,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. • Lead, mentor, and grow a TPgM organization. Drive a high-performance culture by setting clear expectations for excellence and ensuring the team is focused on our most critical engineering and product priorities.
• Drive the execution strategy for critical AI launches and top-priority initiatives. 
• Build the trust and mechanisms required to operate as a proactive, high-leverage partner. Work with VPs of Engineering and Product Management to identify risks early, rebalance resources, and ensure commitment integrity.
• Oversee Chrome's release management. Lead initiatives to adopt AI tooling and optimize core workflows (e.g., Taskflow, bug management, portfolio management) to increase legibility and enable faster decision making and launches.
