Job Description

Do you want to drive the future of Amazon’s transportation network by leveraging data analytics, simulations, and intelligent forecasting? Are you passionate about solving complex optimization problems with real-world impact? We are looking for a Product Manager with deep analytical expertise to develop data-driven solutions for Middle Mile Transportation at Amazon. This role is highly technical and requires hands-on experience with SQL, Python, forecasting tools, and big data processing to enable smarter decision-making and improved operational efficiency. The primary focus of this role is to serve as the analytical backbone between EU Surface Transportation and Amazon's Middle Mile Transportation Technology team, using advanced simulations and predictive modeling to optimize time and cost across vendors, warehouses, and carriers. The systems you influence will handle thousands of requests per second, impact billions of dollars annually, and support global transportation networks.


Key job responsibilities
• Own end-to-end requirements gathering, documentation, planning, and implementation of cost-effective solutions for Amazon’s transportation network, leveraging data analytics to drive decisions.
• Use SQL and Python to analyze large datasets, build models, and generate actionable insights that inform strategic roadmaps and operational improvements.
• Design and execute simulations for capacity and resource planning, applying forecasting tools to predict demand fluctuations and optimize resource allocation.
• Process and synthesize big data into clear, actionable recommendations, presenting insights to leadership in a simplified, strategic manner.
• Conduct deep dives and root-cause analyses using data, identifying key drivers and developing sustainable, metrics-driven solutions for network optimization.
• Develop and implement data-driven enhancements to Amazon’s transportation network, ensuring flexibility, efficiency, and scalability.
• Establish and refine feedback loops with measurable performance indicators, leveraging analytics to drive continuous improvement in cost and operational efficiency.
• Monitor key performance indicators across nodes, analyzing trends and risk factors to proactively mitigate issues impacting customer experience and technology utilization. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience as a product manager or owner
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience owning technology products
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience with product cycles of 6+ months
- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
