Datadog is seeking an Enterprise Sales Executive to target and close new business with large strategic customers. You'll focus on understanding customer pain points in cloud environments and delivering tailored solutions. This role requires 3+ years of closing experience and a proven track record in sales.
You have over 3 years of closing experience, ideally in field selling within mid-market or enterprise environments. You are driven and have consistently met or exceeded direct sales goals of over $1 million, with an average deal size exceeding $100,000. You possess a strong ability to prospect and build relationships with key stakeholders in large organizations, particularly Fortune 1000 companies.
You have a deep understanding of customer business needs and can effectively negotiate favorable pricing and business terms by demonstrating the value and ROI of Datadog's solutions. You are resourceful and can navigate challenges that require creative solutions, ensuring high forecasting accuracy and consistency in your sales process.
In this role, you will prospect into large Fortune 1000 companies while managing an efficient sales process. You will maintain, build, and own specific relationship maps for your territory, which includes both existing relationships and aspirational contacts. Your goal will be to develop a comprehensive understanding of your customers' businesses and their unique challenges as they operate in or migrate to a cloud environment at scale.
You will negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises, focusing on selling value and demonstrating the return on investment that Datadog can provide. You will also handle existing customer expectations while expanding your reach and depth within your assigned territory, ensuring that you identify a robust set of business drivers behind all opportunities.
