Amazon is hiring a Senior Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to lead service technicians in the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. You'll work with Embedded Linux, AutoCAD, and Python in Daytona Beach, FL.
You have extensive experience in mechatronics and robotics, with a strong background in maintaining and repairing automated systems. You are skilled in troubleshooting complex machinery and have a solid understanding of robotics and material handling equipment. Your leadership abilities shine as you guide and mentor service technicians, ensuring they are well-trained and equipped to handle challenges. You are proactive in designing solutions for difficult problems and managing projects effectively, contributing to continuous improvement in operations.
Experience with Fire Life Safety (FLS) systems is a plus, as well as familiarity with various automated packaging technologies. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency.
In this role, you will lead a team of service technicians, overseeing the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the reliability of facility equipment, including Fire Life Safety systems. Your role will involve developing training plans for technicians and overseeing vendor operations to ensure planned maintenance is executed effectively. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
You will also play a key role in project management, coordinating efforts to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks and upgrades. Your expertise will be crucial in troubleshooting equipment failures and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime. You will foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement within your team, encouraging open communication and collaboration.
