Job Description

Want to be a program leader who delivers new initiatives at scale to make our communities safer? Are you looking for a role with high impact and high visibility? We are looking for a motivated, data-oriented self-starter to join as a Sr. Program Manager on the Delivery Service Partner (DSP) Accountability team!

In this role, you'll take end-to-end ownership for programs that improve safety for delivery associates and the communities they serve. We seek a leader who can set priorities, communicate effectively, and consistently deliver results across diverse cross-functional teams at massive scale. Having the ability to solve complex business problems with simple, customer-obsessed solutions is a key skill-set in this role.

We are looking for someone who can own an end-to-end program space, including customer research, design/ideation, stakeholder and leadership alignment, influencing partner team roadmaps, development of KPIs, and overseeing excellent execution.

You will be successful in this role if you can manage multiple competing priorities, often with urgent deadlines, and deliver at speed while developing a long-term strategy. You will need to be a proven program leader and communicator, with the ability to apply analytical skills to problem solving.

Key job responsibilities
• Use customer feedback and analyze data to identify and solve complex problems in a highly ambiguous space.
• Create and deliver a long-term roadmap for tech enhancements in partnership with multiple teams.
• Establish and deliver important new initiatives with broad impact to improve DSP on-road safety.
• Define and document business requirements and program design for new launches.
• Create new metrics to measure program performance and define success.
• Clearly communicate, both verbally and in writing, to drive buy-in and adoption across a diverse group of stakeholders with competing priorities, including executives.
• Manage business risks and create paths forward by managing tradeoffs and creating novel solutions.
• Manage dependencies and own status reporting for time-sensitive projects involving technical and non-technical contributors.
• Own execution of business-critical programs in partnership with operations teams.

A day in the life
In this role, the Sr. Program Manager will lead program development to improve safety for Delivery Service Partners. You will spend time gathering feedback from your customers and diving deep into data to gain insight into complex problems. You will use these insights to develop short- and long-term solutions by working closely with partner teams and understanding Amazon Last Mile technology. You will write documents to gain buy-in and present to senior leadership for approval. Then, you'll develop business requirements, success metrics, and manage end-to-end delivery.

About the team
Our team is responsible for designing and maintaining products and programs with safety impact at massive scale. We love combining data with customer feedback to design permanent solutions to challenging problems. We work across multiple partner teams with functions ranging from tech development to communications. We take great pride in our vision to build the world's safest transportation network.- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience with safety mechanism design, development, and deployment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of root cause analysis and safety incident investigation- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Experience with safety auditing and compliance programs

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
