WPP is seeking a Senior Accountant to support their Corporate Accounting & Reporting team in Mumbai. You'll be responsible for global month-end activities and management reporting. This role requires experience in corporate accounting and financial processes.
You have a strong background in corporate accounting, with at least 5 years of experience in financial reporting and analysis. You thrive in a global environment and are eager to take ownership of critical reporting responsibilities. Your attention to detail ensures accuracy in financial processes, and you are comfortable collaborating with teams across different regions.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively liaise with the UK-based Corporate Reporting team. You are proactive in identifying areas for improvement in reporting processes and are committed to delivering high-quality financial information. Your analytical mindset helps you interpret complex financial data and provide insights that drive decision-making.
Experience with financial software and tools is a plus, as is familiarity with international accounting standards. You are adaptable and can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A professional accounting qualification would be advantageous, demonstrating your commitment to the field.
In this role, you will prepare monthly management accounts, ensuring that all financial data is accurate and timely. You will collaborate closely with the Corporate Accounting Manager and the UK team to support global month-end activities. You will also contribute to the consolidation of financial processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. Your role will involve identifying trends in financial data and providing insights that help improve overall financial performance. As part of your duties, you will mentor junior team members, sharing your expertise and helping them develop their skills in corporate accounting. You will play a key role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the finance team.
