As a Vendor Manager you will own defining the short and long-range strategy of new, high growth vendors who are providing services to the largest B2B customers at Amazon Business. You will be responsible for identifying vendor priorities, supporting expansion opportunities, establishing success criteria and ensuring our vendors perform to the highest standards to scale the business. You will work closely with Customer, Product, and Operations team members to drive alignment toward our goals. This high visibility role will require Senior Executive communication and influencing while working with stakeholders across Retail, Operations, HR, Tech and Finance.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Seattle, Boston, NYC, and Austin.


Key job responsibilities
• Build and execute vendor business development plan while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g., operations, marketing legal, tech).
• Lead day-to-day operational aspects of the business, including gathering and addressing customer and vendor feedback, price management, and business improvement initiatives.
• Setting goals and strategic direction for the business, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and vision.
• Representing Amazon when meeting with senior executive teams from top vendors and building long term strategic relationships.
• Generating and implementing big ideas to drive business improvements, innovation, and scale within the category and across the Retail business.
• Leading cross functional collaboration on necessary systems and processes to support business needs, including retail systems, marketing, supply chain, advertising, merchandising, product, and tech.
• Innovating and implementing new customer and vendor programs.- 5+ years of retail, operations or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience
- Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience
- 4+ years of vendor management experience- Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements
- Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development
- Experience in Operations, specifically in logistics or field services

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $110,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $182,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
