Job Description

EU Ops Concessions is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer who will be part of a new team that is defining and building innovative products and service capabilities to reduce operational defects. The person in this position will focus on the network-wide topic of conceded shipments and have unique possibility to support the development of the entire new program to make sure shipments are meeting customer promise. In 2024, Ops Concessions Team established a new E2E Undelivered Unreturned Program to reduce operational defects. Joining the team you will develop new solutions that will be used in daily operations in the EU AFN network, solving complex business needs in unexplored area. You will be responsible for developing the data-driven decision process from historical data and ML based predictive analysis and maintaining accurate and reliable data infrastructure.

To be successful in this position, you need to be comfortable working across the entire business, and be exposed to a wide range of functions from Operations, Finance, Technology, and Change management. The successful candidate will be able to work with minimal instruction and oversight, manage multiple tasks and support projects simultaneously. Maintaining your relationships with the customers in operations and within the team, while owning deliverables end-to-end is expected. Critical to the success of this role is your ability to work with big data, develop insightful analysis, communicate findings in a clear and compelling way and work effectively as part of the team, raising the bar and insisting on high standard.

• Work with program managers and partner with Operations, Finance, Technology, Change Management and Customer Experience teams in understanding the business requirements and implementing solutions to support operations.
• Collaborating with software development teams to implement analytics systems and data structures to support large-scale data analysis and delivery of machine learning models
• Design, develop and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, and dashboards enabling stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions.
• Develop and support the analytical technologies that give our customers timely, flexible and structured access to their data.
• Defining, developing and maintaining critical business and operational reports reviewed on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Analysis of historical data to extract meaningful insights and learning from large and complicated data sets, identify trends and support decision making, including written and verbal presentation of results and recommendations
• Understanding of Amazon’s data resources (SQS, SNS, and Firehose), which to use, how, and when

About the team
EU Ops Concessions is overseeing E2E Ops Concessions, Undelivered Unreturned for EU AFN network. The team runs EU-wide initiatives, which aim for Customer Experience improvement by recognizing, analyzing and fixing operational defects in First (FCs), Middle (ATS), Last-mile (Carriers and AMZL) and Transportation network. The products developed by the team are roll-outed across EU AFN Network. As our tools have already become the standard in EU, some of them have been already adopted by WW stakeholders.- Experience in analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
- Experience with SQL
- Experience in the data/BI space- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
