What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and scaling DoorDash's Cassandra ecosystem to support mission-critical workloads. You will work closely with the Storage team to build a high-performance data abstraction layer that optimizes reliability and efficiency. Your contributions will directly impact the scalability of DoorDash's foundational key-value storage systems, enabling the company to meet its ambitious growth targets.

You will lead initiatives to enhance the self-service capabilities of the Cassandra infrastructure, focusing on automation and deep observability. This includes designing and implementing a self-service control plane that empowers engineers to manage their data needs effectively. You will also collaborate with the open-source community to contribute improvements back to the upstream Apache Cassandra project, ensuring that your work benefits a broader audience.

Your role will involve continuous monitoring and optimization of the distributed database infrastructure, ensuring that it remains secure, efficient, and reliable.
