Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 2 years of experience in program management. Your background includes experience with data analytics, reporting, and scripting using SQL, which allows you to effectively manage and analyze data. You are familiar with dashboards or data visualization platforms, enabling you to present data insights clearly. You have a proven track record of managing cross-functional or cross-team projects, showcasing your ability to work collaboratively across various departments. Your experience in data centers and network infrastructure, including optical transport and fiber management, gives you a solid foundation in the technical aspects of the role. You excel in stakeholder management, possessing the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. You believe that a problem isn’t truly solved until it’s resolved for all, which aligns with Google's mission to create opportunities for everyone.

What you'll do

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will leverage your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You will work closely with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate effectively with cross-functional partners across the company. You will define the scope of projects and develop, execute, or manage project plans for supported programs. Monitoring key metrics pertaining to your programs will be crucial, as you will need to review these metrics regularly and define corrective actions for any critical deviations. Your role will involve identifying, communicating, and collaborating with relevant stakeholders within one or more teams to drive impact and work toward mutual goals. You will also be responsible for explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives, as well as discussing technical trade-offs in product development with engineers. Your ability to navigate these discussions will be key to the success of your projects.
