Job Description

Global Road Safety’s mission is to “lead the world’s safest transportation network, protecting the lives of people on road everywhere”. Global Road Safety (GRS) covers all miles and all business units in all countries (22 total) where Amazon conducts on-road operations.

We are seeking a dynamic, passionate self-starter to join the Global Road Safety Execution team as a Senior Program Manager. This role will be focused on executing projects and programs which enable Amazon to safely scale as the largest package delivery service on the planet. Additionally, this role will ensure the organization exceeds its safety objectives through collecting, analyzing, and assessing information. Amazon is constantly innovating and our operations must evolve with the business to ensure we maintain the highest safety standards for our Associates, third party transportation providers, and the general public. You will help build and deliver risk reduction project across all business units and geographies. This role requires scoping large projects, managing project timelines, identifying safety gaps, and communicating to senior management on safety risks. Cross-team coordination, project management, executive presentation skills, a penchant for process improvement, and a proven history of delivering results are essential for success.

Key job responsibilities
Coordinate and craft Global Road Safety documents. Including but, not limited to weekly/monthly business reviews, VP level WBRs and serious incident/injury report outs.
Monitor and understand key GRS safety metrics.
Be the gate keeper for change management requests that involve transportation processes.
Present documents and information to operational counterparts and director level leaders.
Identify injury/incident trends. Collaborate with team members to create and action high impact projects based on those identified trends.
PM high impact projects by working with other GRS pillar team members.
Craft safety awareness products that provide instruction, guidance and clarity to our on-road partner teams.
Own and facilitate projects, pilot testing, data gathering and full project scoping
Role is built around continuous process improvement and will look around corners and anticipate obstacles to stream line pillar success and execute projects to meet GRS reductions and matrix goals

About the team
Global Road Safety leads the world's safest transportation network, protecting lives of people on road everywhere. Using a data-driven approach, Global Road Safety fosters the safe mobility of our drivers, partners, community members and other vulnerable road users. We align all on-road standards and procedures globally and think creatively about safety, inventing for customers and the community. As a responsible global community member, we improve global transportation safety culture by influencing internal and external stakeholders to create a safer and more sustainable transportation system. The GRS Execution Team was establish in 2024. With the goal to centralize ownership of projects and services in support of internal GRS, as well as our external customers. - 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Business, Risk Management, Engineering, or related field- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
