Overview

Amazon is hiring an Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical technology infrastructure in Mesa, Arizona. You'll work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure high uptime for AWS data centers.

Who you are

You are an entry-level Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems. You have hands-on experience troubleshooting complex equipment and are eager to learn about data center operations. You understand the importance of maintaining uptime and are committed to ensuring that mission-critical technology infrastructure runs smoothly. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are excited to work alongside a diverse team of engineers and specialists. You are detail-oriented and have a proactive approach to problem-solving, always looking for ways to improve processes and systems. You are passionate about technology and are eager to contribute to the success of Amazon's AWS infrastructure.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting various electrical and mechanical systems within the data center. You will work with stand-by diesel generators, three-phase electrical systems, switch gear, UPSs, PDUs, and cooling systems. Your expertise will help ensure that the data center operates at an extraordinary 99.999% uptime. You will collaborate with other technicians and engineers to identify and resolve issues quickly, minimizing downtime and maintaining operational efficiency. You will participate in routine maintenance and inspections, documenting your findings and suggesting improvements where necessary. You will also have the opportunity to learn about AWS infrastructure services and contribute to the design and planning of future data center operations. Your role is critical in supporting the seamless operation of Amazon's global digital experiences.
