Dropbox is hiring a Strategic Finance Associate to shape the company’s financial strategy and guide critical business decisions. You'll work on planning, forecasting, and financial modeling. This position requires experience in SaaS/subscription-based businesses and advanced SQL skills.
You have a strong background in finance, ideally with experience in SaaS or subscription-based businesses — your analytical skills allow you to evaluate major strategic choices and build financial models that support critical business decisions. You are proficient in SQL, enabling you to analyze data effectively and derive actionable insights. Your experience in pricing strategy and market analysis has equipped you with the tools to drive pricing and packaging analysis for new product launches. You thrive in cross-functional environments, collaborating with teams across Product, Finance, Business Development, and Corporate Development to support new revenue initiatives. You are comfortable working with senior leadership, gaining exposure to high-priority business issues and contributing to the company’s financial strategy.
Experience in financial systems and analytics tools is a plus, as it will enhance your ability to establish finance processes and reporting capabilities. Familiarity with pricing strategy development and business case creation will further strengthen your contributions to the team.
In this role, you will support Dropbox’s Strategic Finance team by shaping the company’s financial strategy — your work will involve planning and forecasting, evaluating major strategic choices, and building financial models that guide investment decisions. You will drive pricing and packaging analysis for new product launches, ensuring that the company’s offerings are competitive and aligned with market demands. You will partner with Business Development to structure and negotiate partnerships with key companies, analyzing adjacent markets and identifying acquisition targets in collaboration with Corporate Development. Your contributions will help establish finance processes, reporting, and forecasting capabilities for new products and revenue streams as they scale from concept to operation. You will engage with senior leadership, providing data-driven insights and strategic recommendations that influence the company’s direction.
Dropbox offers a competitive compensation package, with salaries ranging from $130,500 to $176,500 depending on your location within the US. You will have the opportunity to work remotely, allowing for flexibility in your work environment.
