Staff Technical Program Manager

Who you are

You have over 10 years of experience working in an engineering organization, leading complex cross-functional technical programs. With at least 5 years of software development background, you are adept at partnering with technical stakeholders to methodically break down engineering challenges and deliver against abstract goals. You are comfortable participating in technical design discussions, summarizing trade-offs, outcomes, and next steps. Your analytical skills and technical acumen enable you to drive engineering programs forward, maximizing business value delivery. You recognize patterns in a sea of information and take action accordingly, developing a strategic approach to program management that balances agility and process. You are also a mentor to junior Technical Program Managers, leading by example and embodying MongoDB's core values and leadership principles.

Desirable

Experience with agile methodologies and familiarity with various project management tools would be beneficial. A background in data-driven decision-making and the ability to expand knowledge into new domains as called upon will set you apart in this role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own the successful delivery of complex, cross-functional efforts at MongoDB. You will partner closely with stakeholders across the organization, including Engineering, Product, Product Design, and Field-facing teams, to develop and execute against the overall product vision and business objectives. Your responsibilities will include uncovering solutions to technical challenges and providing data-driven insights that power strategic decision-making. You will leverage your technical acumen to drive engineering programs forward, ensuring that business value is maximized. You will build strategic partnerships with Product, Design, and Engineering stakeholders, establishing clear frameworks and guidelines for ongoing initiatives. As a Staff Technical Program Manager, you will act as a mentor to junior TPMs, fostering their growth and development within the organization.
