You are a motivated and talented Senior Data Scientist with a strong background in algorithms and data-driven solutions. With 5+ years of experience in data science, you have a broad methodological toolkit and are comfortable working with complex datasets to derive insights that improve user trust and safety. You possess expertise in Python and SQL, enabling you to manipulate data effectively and build robust models. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with product, engineering, and operations teams to implement cutting-edge identity verification systems. Your analytical mindset allows you to ideate novel solutions that enhance the social well-being of users in real-world applications.
Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow or PyTorch would be a plus. Familiarity with biometric technologies and identity verification systems is also desirable, as it aligns with the goals of the Identity Data Science team at Airbnb. You are passionate about leveraging technology to create a safer and more trusted community for users.
In this role, you will own and drive high-visibility initiatives aimed at improving identity verification standards. You will leverage biometrics, NFC chips, and integrations with Apple and Google to enhance the user experience and security.
