You'll leverage machine learning and statistical modeling to uncover undiagnosed patients and accelerate diagnosis. This role requires extensive experience in data science and healthcare analytics.

Job Description

Who you are

You have over 10 years of experience in data science, particularly in healthcare, where you've successfully led teams in developing machine learning models and statistical analyses that drive impactful decisions. Your expertise in AI and statistical modeling allows you to tackle complex problems and innovate solutions that improve patient outcomes. You thrive in collaborative environments and are passionate about using data to make a difference in the lives of patients with rare diseases.

You possess a strong background in healthcare data analytics, having worked with diverse datasets to identify disease patterns and patient demographics. Your ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders is a key strength, enabling you to influence decision-making processes effectively. You are comfortable navigating the challenges of translational analytics and are eager to push the boundaries of what's possible in biopharma.

You have a proven track record of developing data strategies that align with organizational goals, ensuring that data-driven insights are integrated into the broader business strategy. Your leadership style fosters innovation and encourages team members to think creatively and challenge the status quo. You are committed to mentoring and developing talent within your team, helping them grow their skills and advance their careers.

Desirable

Experience with rare diseases or biopharmaceuticals is a plus, as is familiarity with regulatory requirements in healthcare data usage. You may also have experience in project management, which helps you oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining a focus on quality and results.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the data science team in developing and implementing innovative approaches to patient identification and disease detection. You will design and refine machine learning models that analyze healthcare data to uncover undiagnosed patients, ultimately accelerating their diagnosis and treatment. Your work will directly impact the lives of patients and their families, making this a highly rewarding position.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including clinical researchers and product managers, to ensure that data strategies align with clinical goals and patient needs. Your insights will help shape the direction of research projects and inform the development of new therapies for rare diseases.

You will also be responsible for establishing best practices in data analysis and model development, ensuring that your team adheres to high standards of quality and reproducibility. You will mentor junior data scientists, providing guidance on technical challenges and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

What we offer

BridgeBio offers a competitive salary range of $260,000 to $300,000 USD, reflecting the importance of this role in our mission to transform the biopharmaceutical landscape. We provide a collaborative and innovative work environment where your contributions will be valued and recognized. You will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry, tackling challenging problems and making a real difference in the lives of patients with unmet medical needs. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
