Senior DevOps Engineer, Actimize

So, what’s the role all about?

NiCE Actimize Premier is seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer to help keep our environment up to date and secure.

In this position You will be working with multitude of modern tools and technologies to properly and efficiently build and deploy releases throughout the software development life cycle as well as troubleshoot and resolve issues in our development, test and production AWS environments.

How will you make an impact?  

• Computer networking including all aspects of AWS networking, experience working with Cisco and / or Palo Alto firewalls, routers, load balancers and access control by various methods. Static and remote VPNs and secure communication concepts.
• Expert in Linux Command line.
• Strong understanding of Operating systems (OS), specifically Linux and several years of OS patching experience in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with automation using Bash / Python.
• Experience working with customer facing production environments.
• Experience working with AWS infrastructure.
• Experience working with Web interfaced Java application configurations.
• Working with DevOps best practices with Terraform, Cloud Formation, various AWS infrastructure and Configuration Management.
• Best practices and emerging concepts in DevOps, Infrastructure Automation, and Enterprise Security.
• Acts as a technical liaison between Dev, Professional services, and customer support teams.
• Review and audit of existing solution, design and system architecture and participate I yearly security audits.
• Monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting automation.
• Create technical documentation and mentoring of team members.

Have you got what it takes?  

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience 
• 4+ years of production cloud operations experience
• 4+ years expertise in Linux command line.
• 4+ years of using Terraform in AWS for automation. Hands on with automation and seeking out opportunities to automate manual processes.
• 4+ years of strong, hands-on experience in building production services in AWS.
• 4+ years of experience with Kubernetes configuration management
• 4+ years of experience with Docker and building Docker images.
• 4+ years of experience working with Artifactory and Jenkins.
• 4+ years of experience with scripting using Python and Bash
• Significant experience with CI/CD automation tools such as Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Salt, Puppet, or Chef.
• Experience using AI to improve accuracy, efficiency and speed of Cloud Operations, Security and Support tasks.
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation

 You will have an advantage if you also have: 

• Network: firewalls, load balancers, routers
• Databases: MySQL, MongoDB, Postgres, and RDS
• Log management: Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Icinga, Promtail.
