Who you are

You have solid experience as a backend developer, particularly with Kotlin and Spring Boot, and you understand the intricacies of building scalable applications. Your expertise extends to working with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB, allowing you to manage data effectively in various environments. You are familiar with microservices architecture and have hands-on experience with REST APIs, ensuring seamless integration of systems, both synchronous and asynchronous.

Your knowledge of event-driven architectures is strong, and you are comfortable working with tools like Kafka and AWS SNS for message handling. You understand concepts such as Pub/Sub and idempotency, which are crucial for building reliable systems. You also have experience with Docker or Podman, enabling you to manage containerized applications efficiently.

You possess a good understanding of cloud infrastructure, particularly with Amazon EKS, and can navigate clusters with ease. Your familiarity with Service Mesh concepts, especially Istio, helps you understand topology and routing in complex systems. You are adept at interpreting logs in GitHub Actions and have a basic understanding of Helm for managing Kubernetes applications.

You are proactive in monitoring performance and diagnosing errors using tools like Datadog, ensuring that applications run smoothly and efficiently. Additionally, you have an interest in leveraging AI for coding and testing, focusing on technical reviews and accountability for generated code.

Desirable

While not mandatory, knowledge of Custom Resources in Istio and experience in complex corporate ecosystems, particularly in the banking sector, would be advantageous. Certifications in AWS, such as Developer or Solutions Architect, would also set you apart from other candidates.

What you'll do
