You'll work with Kotlin and large-scale infrastructure technologies. This role requires 8+ years of experience in software development and technical leadership.
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 8 years of experience in software development. Your expertise includes at least 5 years of experience with software development in Kotlin, and you have a strong background in developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks. You have spent 3 years in a technical leadership role and 2 years in a people management or team leadership role, demonstrating your ability to guide and mentor engineers effectively.
You thrive in complex, matrixed organizations and are comfortable navigating the challenges that come with them. Your technical expertise allows you to take on major projects while also managing a team of engineers. You understand the importance of optimizing code and ensuring that your team can do the same, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
As an Engineering Manager at Google, you will manage project goals, contribute to product strategy, and help develop your team.
