Pattern is hiring a Paralegal Analyst to assist with trademark, copyright, and design applications globally. You'll coordinate with inventors and local counsel while managing IP docketing systems. This role requires attention to detail and organizational skills.
You have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of intellectual property law — your experience in preparing and filing trademark, copyright, and design applications has equipped you with the necessary skills to excel in this role. You are organized and proactive, ensuring that all deadlines are met and that IP docketing systems are meticulously maintained. Your ability to proofread and ensure compliance with procedural form requirements is second nature to you, and you thrive in environments where you can coordinate with various stakeholders.
Experience in managing IP portfolios and conducting preliminary trademark searches is a plus. Familiarity with budget tracking and invoicing related to IP filings will help you stand out.
In this role, you will assist with the preparation, filing, and maintenance of trademark, copyright, and design applications and renewals globally. You will coordinate the collection of specimens and assist in developing and documenting acceptable usage evidence to support Statements of Use in trademark filings. Monitoring deadlines and managing IP docketing systems will be crucial to ensure timely action on filings, responses, and renewals. You will proofread invention intake forms and other IP-related documents, ensuring compliance with procedural form requirements. Additionally, you will coordinate signatures, notarizations, and document executions for filings, preparing status reports and summaries of the IP portfolio, including generating internal and external docket reports.
You will conduct preliminary trademark searches, monitor potential infringing activity, and assist with enforcement actions, such as online takedowns. Communicating and coordinating with inventors, local counsel, and international associates on IP matters will be a key part of your responsibilities, as will maintaining organized IP files and updating digital records in documenting systems. You will also assist with budget tracking, invoicing, and cost management related to filings and renewals.
