Who you are

You have solid experience with Python, having developed and evolved backend functionalities in production environments. Your expertise includes designing and implementing services and APIs, taking ownership of the entire process from design to production. You understand the importance of stability, performance, observability, and reliability in backend systems, and you are comfortable working in complex environments with multiple teams and repositories.

You are familiar with practices of observability and monitoring, including logs, metrics, and tracing tools like Datadog, Grafana, and the ELK Stack. Your experience with CI/CD and continuous delivery pipelines ensures that you can contribute effectively to the development process. You have a proactive approach to investigating incidents, analyzing root causes, and implementing structural improvements to enhance system reliability.

You enjoy sharing knowledge and proposing best practices to improve engineering processes within your team. Your ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams allows you to contribute to the continuous improvement of both the product and the engineering process. You take ownership of production systems, understanding their technical and business impacts, and you are committed to delivering high-quality solutions.

Desirable

Experience with Azure and Kubernetes (K8s) is a plus, as is knowledge of asynchronous programming in Python. You are eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies that can enhance your work and the team's performance.

What you'll do

In this role, you will develop and evolve functionalities for a backend platform using Python. You will be responsible for designing and implementing services and APIs, ensuring that they meet high standards of performance and reliability. Your work will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that the product meets the needs of users across different countries.

You will monitor systems by analyzing logs, metrics, and traces to ensure the health and reliability of applications. Investigating incidents and performing root cause analysis will be part of your responsibilities, as will implementing improvements based on your findings. You will write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure continuous quality in the software you develop.

Your contributions will help elevate the technical maturity of the team, as you will share knowledge and propose best practices for engineering. You will take ownership of production systems, understanding their impact on both technical performance and business outcomes. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that the backend solutions you develop are scalable and robust, supporting the company's mission of delivering high-impact tech solutions.
